Standard Bank of SA - “Annual Well-being Day”: 6 October 2005
FAVOR SA together with SANCA (W.Cape) was invited to put up an information stand at the Standard Bank’s Western Cape regional head office on Cape Town’s Foreshore, on the occasion of the bank’s annual Wellbeing Day. The event invites Standard Bank management, workers and suppliers to take up the challenge of achieving optimal health and a lifestyle that promotes wellness.

Drug-Free Helderberg
On 20 July, at Strand Town Hall, Drug-Free Helderberg launched the organisation‘s new campaign against substance abuse at a community event attended by about 650 high school students from 10 schools in the area. The campaign, headed by Christine Gordon, aims to offer a holistic, drug-free lifestyle to youths and to this end is training teachers, youth leaders, and monitors to deal effectively with drug-related problems.

Methodist Church Outreach Missions - "40 Days of Purpose" -
Ministry & Mission Fair.
Our stand was next to HIV/AIDS,
and our theme (apart from promoting FAVOR) was to make visitors aware
of the dangers and risks of alcohol and drug abuse, risky
sexual behavior and HIV/AIDS. We estimate that about 200 people
visited the Fair during the day, as we handed out about
250 pamphlets. Some people took 10 or more, to spread around.
