Drug-Free Helderberg
On 20 July, at Strand Town Hall, Drug-Free Helderberg launched the organisations new campaign against substance abuse at a community event attended by about 650 high school students from 10 schools in the area. The campaign, headed by Christine Gordon, aims to offer a holistic, drug-free lifestyle to youths and to this end is training teachers, youth leaders, and monitors to deal effectively with drug-related problems.

Methodist Church Outreach Missions - "40 Days of Purpose" -
Ministry & Mission Fair.
Our stand was next to HIV/AIDS,
and our theme (apart from promoting FAVOR) was to make visitors aware
of the dangers and risks of alcohol and drug abuse, risky
sexual behavior and HIV/AIDS. We estimate that about 200 people
visited the Fair during the day, as we handed out about
250 pamphlets. Some people took 10 or more, to spread around.
